I can’t believe I went a whole week without updating my blog. I’ve been busy with all sorts of unexciting household chores, a broken washing machine that strangely resolved itself, and a dog that is now finally diaper-free (although I’m still busy training him for a few other things).
He’s so much fun to have around. He follows me everywhere! We’ve now had to place a little bed for him near the bathroom because he waits for me patiently when I’m busy taking a shower.
I received an e-mail from Google a few days ago. They offered me my own personalized Google URL. My Google+ page is now: google.com/+LisaKristie . They also reserved a nice and short Youtube URL for me, which is: youtube.com/c/LisaKristie . The thing about Youtube though is that I already own youtube.com/LisaKristie (without the /c in front of my name), but it’s linked to my old e-mail address, so I’m still a bit torn as to which to use. The new one with the /c in front is more practical for me, because I have direct access to it as soon as I come online. On the other hand though, the shorter youtube.com/LisaKristie account is a little more obvious for people, but it does require me to sign into my old account each time. Hmmm … Dilemma.
It has become a bit of a tradition for me to take a new portrait in January. I use it as my profile picture on all the websites I’m active on, which I only change once a year. So I’ll be busy replacing last year’s picture with this one over the next few days. I always seem to forget some websites, so it usually takes about two to three days until it’s updated everywhere!
And for memory’s sake, this was last year’s portrait. I love how my hair still looks as shitty.
So “Wolf” will remain “Wolf” after all. We had a few other names in mind, but it felt kind of pointless to change his name when he’s obviously used to it and so are we at this point. I do call him “Wolfie” most of the time though lol He’s just so tiny and cute!
I pulled out my portrait lens the other day. I hadn’t used it in ages and figured it was time to take some decent shots of this dog.
He’s still wearing his little diaper, which is quite annoying, I have to admit :-/ He hadn’t lifted his leg in days, but he just did it again about an hour ago. Right against Gert’s antique Chinese cabinet lol So yeah, good thing he was wearing a diaper! He knows it’s wrong, because I scold him and you can definitely tell he gets it. It does seem to have improved since he arrived here, but I can’t wait for this issue to be completely resolved. Other than that, he’s such a great little dog! He’s sweet, social, calm, well behaved. I can basically take him everywhere with me. Exactly what I had hoped for :-)
Isn’t he a doll? We’re still not sure about the name though, so we may just keep calling him “Wolf”, as the breeder named him originally. For some reason, the name felt like a more important issue before I actually got the dog. Now it doesn’t seem like such a big deal.
He had an upset tummy on Tuesday, which got me really panicked. We were about to head to the vet hospital when he finally started eating and drinking again around 5PM. Poor little thing. I think maybe this major life change caught up with him. He’s doing really well now though. I can tell by his behavior that he’s starting to settle nicely. He’s also paying more attention to me and what I tell him. You can always sense a connection growing with a dog when they start looking at your face more, trying to decipher facial expressions. He’s an absolute angel. So well behaved and quiet and calm. He’s even doing well around the cat. They both still need time to get more used to each other, but so far, it’s going quite well. They slept at about a meter from each other on Tuesday evening. The next step will be to have both running around peacefully in the living room. So far, they’ve only been around each other while the dog was calmly sitting in the couch or on my lap. So, having him with all 4 paws on the floor while the cat is roaming around will probably be a different dynamic. *fingers crossed*
How d’you like my kitsch Advent candlesticks? They’re straight out of the 90’s, literally. They used to belong to my mom until she got rid of them, I mean… kindly gave them to me five years ago. I’m still not sure why I insist on using them each Christmas. They’re kind of clever and ugly at the same time. I may ditch them next year though. I feel like redecorating the entire house this coming year. And that will include revamping our Christmas setup, which is starting to look rather tired at this point.
^^ Jules is still acting like the Grinch by murdering Christmas one item at a time.
And here I am. Still four kilos too heavy. Four kilos sounds like a joke, but holy crap, it’s hard to lose! And it does make a big difference in terms of clothes. I decided to try on all my dresses yesterday. I’m honestly not sure what the hell I was expecting. I only started working out about two weeks ago. So, yeah, none of them fit! NONE! I’m stuck with these larger pants and stretchy tops at the moment, until I lose enough weight to fit back into my dresses. I’m quite stubborn about not wanting to buy larger sizes right now. Because I’m an optimist and that’s just how I roll. I will lose those kilos, damn it.
So, instead of buying larger clothes, I relieved my shopping itch by spending a whole 2€ on this:
I just got a shipping confirmation from Forever21, so I’m expecting these puppies in the mail by Tuesday!!! I’ve never been this excited about socks before! I must not be the only one though, because they sold out in just a few hours time. How crazy is that?
